Playworks is Coming the OKC the week of March 7 to demonstrate their program!

Playworks is a national non-profit that partners with low income, public elementary schools to provide youth with opportunities for safe, meaningful play throughout the school day.

Principals across the country report that their program has an immediate and dramatic impact on both the playground and the classroom, eliminating fights and negative behavior that get in the way of teaching and learning.

Playworks' goal is to eliminate the chaos and conflict on the playground that typically ripples into the classroom taking up valuable learning time. Playworks staff are well-trained and supervised to complement the school culture and any behavior systems that a school already has in place.

Playworks launched in three new cities in 2009, and we are currently operating in 15 cities and 250 schools across the nation. They are in the annual process of considering which cities to select for expansion for the fall, 2011 school year and are looking at Oklahoma City.  In fact, they are demonstrating their program in 7 schools in the Oklahoma City area the week of March 7th.  Please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
